The pirates sat and forgot, and they really believed the nine truths and one lie.

Chapter 1747 Death of Kozuki Hiyori 2

Chapter 1747 Death of Kozuki Hiyori 2

Orochi turned around and gave Sesshomaru, who had lost both arms, a cold glance.

The sleeves of this silver-haired nobleman's luxurious clothes were stained with dark red marks from his own blood.

If it weren't for Whitebeard's monstrous strength and the sharpness of his Supreme Grade Sword, an ordinary swordsman probably wouldn't have been able to cut through his unusually tough arm bones.

"Can your hands be reattached?" Kurozumi Orochi asked in a rare tone that revealed little emotion, seemingly not too worried.

“However, you did very well,” he said, turning his gaze to the tragic scene aboard the Moby Dick, a cruel smile playing on his lips.

"Hiyori Kozuki is going to die soon. Taking a corpse is much easier than gouging out the eyes of a living person."

Sesshomaru remained silent with a cold expression, showing no reaction to Orochi's words. He merely moved his shoulder slightly at the point where his arm had been severed.

The next moment, at a speed visible to the naked eye, fleshy buds began to sprout from the two bloody, mangled wounds.

Immediately afterwards, the newly formed skeletal outline extends along the cross-section, and muscles, blood vessels, nerves, skin, everything is frantically reorganizing.

In full view of everyone, Sesshomaru miraculously regenerated his severed arm in less than ten seconds.

Two brand-new arms, exactly the same as the originals, with fair and smooth skin, appeared on either side of his body, gleaming brightly with an eerie vitality.

Sesshomaru raised his two new arms, his fingers slightly bent and his wrists rotated, getting used to this unfamiliar feeling.

His face remained expressionless, but his golden eyes coldly swept over the two stiff, old arms on the deck, as if they were just two pieces of discarded property that had nothing to do with him.

"I can see the scene of Whitebeard shedding tears..."

Kurozumi Orochi turned his gaze to the Moby Dick, his voice filled with malicious pleasure, "This is quite rare. His ugly behavior will be broadcast to the whole world via Den Den Mushi."

He showed no reaction to a life about to end, only instinctively making sarcastic remarks. The last surviving member of the Kozuki family was dying before his eyes, and for him, nothing could have given him more pleasure.

Edward Newgate carefully took his daughter from Marco's arms.

He gently embraced the blood-soaked, barely breathing Hiyori in his broad, warm arms.

The girl's petite body pressed against the old man's firm chest, and the warm blood seeping from the horrific wound on her chest quickly stained the muscles of the white-bearded man's chest red.

Edward Newgate held his daughter's hand tightly the whole time; it was Kogetsuhi's final expression of emotion to the world and to his loved ones.

Kozuki Hiyori's eyes, those once bright and resolute eyes, were now shrouded in a deathly shadow. Two lines of tears, mixed with blood, slid down from the corners of her eyes, carving two glaring bloody streaks on her pale cheeks.

With the last ounce of strength she had left, her small, blood-stained hand, held by Whitebeard, trembled as it reached past his massive palm, pointing directly towards the direction of the Black Serpent outside the Moby Dick.

Coughing up blood mixed with fragments of internal organs, she spoke in a barely audible, broken voice, "Father..."

"I beg you for one last thing..."

Edward Newgate nodded frantically, tears streaming down his face.

Watching Hiyori struggle in his arms, her life slipping away, his weathered old face contorted in agony. The pain and anger in his heart made him wish he could take the girl's place and suffer in her place.

“You’ll be alright, Hiyori, you’ll be alright!” he roared hoarsely, turning to look at Law beside him.

Her eyes were filled with a final, desperate hope. "Luo, use your medical skills to take a look! I beg you, please save her! I beg you—!!"

Whitebeard, a legendary figure who was upright and rarely asked for help throughout his life, was now begging a junior in front of a group of outsiders, completely disregarding his image and dignity.

Luo had already carefully observed Kozuki Hiyori's situation from the front. His expression was unusually solemn, and his eyes were full of helplessness and pity. Faced with Whitebeard's almost collapsing pleas, he could only shake his head helplessly.

He had already sentenced Hiyori to death; he was the best doctor on the ship, but he couldn't save her.

The two most important organs of Kozuki Hiyori have been completely destroyed.

The fact that she has managed to hold on without immediately going into shock despite such severe blood loss demonstrates her exceptional physical constitution; under normal circumstances, she would have bled to death long ago.

Luo lowered his head, unable to bear watching any longer.

His gaze fell on the spot where Hiyori Kozuki lay, where a small pool of blood had almost formed, as if Hiyori Kozuki's blood was about to run dry.

Whitebeard, plunged into the abyss of despair, could only lower his head once more and look into the eyes of his daughter.

His voice choked with sobs, "Hiyori, don't leave me. I'll do anything you ask. I can't let Oden down again, I can't let him down again..."

Hiyori Kozuki's eyes were fixed on him, burning with the last and most intense flames of hatred in her life.

Her gaze pierced through the tears and blood, fixing firmly on the direction of the black charcoal serpent.

"Kill him for me..."

Her voice, like a candle flickering in the wind, carried a chilling resolve: "Kill him for me, avenge my family, avenge them..."

It was as if he wanted to use his eyes to tear that enemy to pieces and devour him alive.

"I promise you, I'll promise you anything!!" The white-bearded man gripped the small hand so tightly it felt like he was about to crush it, his whole body trembling with excitement, tears mixed with snot streaming down his rugged face.

"For my Kozuki family..." Kozuki Hiyori's lips parted slightly, uttering the last few barely audible syllables, "...blood shame...blood shame..."

In the very end, Hiyori lost all of her physical powers.

The bloodstained jade hand that had been held by the white-bearded man and slightly raised finally slipped weakly and slowly from the old man's large and warm palm.

At the same moment, her breathing stopped completely.

And so, with her eyes wide open, filled with resentment and hatred, she died forever in the arms of the white-bearded man.

"Hiyori—!!! Hiyori—!!" Whitebeard's mournful cry, as if a lion had lost its beloved, soared into the sky from the Moby Dick, tearing through the blood-stained night sky.

This roar, filled with endless grief, despair, and rage, shook the hearts of everyone present.

Hiyori Kozuki died just like that.

Like her brother, Kozuki Momonosuke, she died in the arms of the white-bearded Edward Newgate.
