"Let's go, we still have a long way to go."
As fellow humans, fellow commanders, and close friends on the same path, how could Ange not understand Luo Fan's current state of mind?
Anna Viktorovna Tsoi, a veteran of countless battles, was utterly incapable of resolving his predicament, and even seemed inclined to aid and abet it. She had promised that leader she would come here precisely to help him survive...
......
......
These days have been tough for everyone, but only Ange can still wander around the various scenic spots in Alaska, enjoy the scenery, occasionally reminisce about the past, and think about how she used to live.
But Luo Fan couldn't...
On the screen, Grey was still calmly reciting the pre-arranged content. When people saw her hospital gown and the scars on her face, no one would doubt that this was a self-directed assassination. There would only be more terrifying public outrage, more turbulent society, and a darker inner world.
"I think this malicious murder can only mean one thing: since I set foot on this land, my actions have undeniably affected the interests of certain people. People desperately need change, but those who pulled the trigger refuse to change, influencing the realization of our vision as the establishment..."
For the first time in Times Square, footsteps stopped simultaneously as people looked up at the woman on the screen, expecting her to announce a "fact"—the beginning of a change, an unverified "incident of harm." They didn't care; they just needed to hear from her...
"Then let them come. Let's see if they can bury me with their countless dollars, or if we, the rats who crawl and flounder in the gutter, living on the wine they pour into the sewers, can defeat them. They will pay for their evil deeds sooner or later, because I believe in your choice! We need you!"
【Oooooo ...
Cheers erupted almost instantly, and Times Square descended into chaos. The pre-positioned Nitocris began to build up the atmosphere, inciting people to start another riot. The poor NYPD would be in for a headache next.
Luo Fan put away the notebook and placed it aside, but 95 couldn't help feeling worried.
"Sir, are you really going to go this far...?"
"To what extent?"
Knowing full well what 95 was worried about, Luo Fan was no longer worried. He had already done enough evil deeds and was not afraid to do even more.
95 spoke again: "I inquired with Thomson last night about her upcoming schedule. Given her status in the New York Mafia, I believe there's nothing she can't do..."
She paused, though she dared not imagine the answer, she still wanted a result: "Thomson told me they are secretly shipping a batch of machine tools, including the purchase of more land development rights and logistics company shares. I think those in the know can understand what we are doing... Sir, do you want to start a war?"
"..."
Luo Fan chose to remain silent, but this was essentially an admission. The increasingly chaotic society, the involvement in the military industry, and the absolute vital position of the pharmaceutical industry were all assets for them to establish themselves in White Eagle. Yet, he had gone to such lengths.
Have you considered the consequences?
"I've considered it, but I won't let the worst happen."
"...I'm very worried about you."
"..."
All the dissuasion was no match for this one sentence. Luo Fan was stunned, but he still controlled his expression and remained calm.
"I will not change my mind until my purpose is fully achieved."
......
He abruptly stood up and headed for the bar's exit. Now, when the girls saw Luo Fan leave, they knew that someone was about to pay the price for Luo Fan's plans.
She could persuade him, but she couldn't stop him. She so desperately wanted him to stop, even just to look back...
Or is it that they couldn't empathize with Luo Fan's past because they hadn't experienced it firsthand?
How can I possibly catch up with your current superior?
...Why not start by changing all of this?
P.S.: I've finally made it through exam week, and I can relax a bit during the New Year's Day holiday.
Because this revenge plot involves many stages and actions, every single step will not be described in detail to avoid making the content too extensive and cumbersome.
However, we've now entered a lull period, so we can take this opportunity to check out the side story, namely Paradis's Human Experiments. As I mentioned before, although this book is set in the apocalypse, it rarely touches on topics related to humanity. Therefore, I plan to tell a story about this aspect in this side story. The content will also involve rule-based ghost stories that I've seen before in this book, as well as FNAF-related content, and it will be more complete and exciting.
Of course, whether you want to watch it or not is up to you. I respect your choice. If you still want to watch the main storyline, we'll wait until we find a suitable time to release it later.

Murdoch: The rats in the Skinner box don't need to know why they have to push the lever in addition to avoiding pain.
Cerina: These are people, not rats.
Morido: That's a prejudiced rat.
Cerina: What we create is not an action, but a complex.
Morito: There is no difference between the two.
Cerina: There's a story behind every psychological complex; it's a combination of pain and narrative. Suppose someone is frequently burned by cigarettes, they'll quickly develop a fear response to smoking cigarettes, and their behavior will change accordingly, causing them to avoid cigarettes at all costs. Now suppose someone is frequently burned by cigarettes by their beautiful and sexy mother, who whispers, "I love you, but donuts will make you fat." This person will not only learn a behavior but also develop a complex.
Morido: So they're not afraid of cigarettes, but afraid of donuts? Is that your big revelation?
Cerina: It just started with a donut, and although the example is ridiculous, please follow it, that donut was suggested by your sexy mom.
Morido: She's not my mother. That's just a figure of speech. I don't have that kind of identity for you to use as a figure of speech.
Cerina: That beautiful, voluptuous Platonic mother, who only buttoned one button on her shirt when the weather was fine, with a strand of wet hair on her forehead, what do you subconsciously associate with donuts?
Morido: (chuckles)
Cerina: You can see the underlying complexities here.
Morido: So you've added this complex, where all the goals are contradictory: achieving justice through lies, gaining love through punishment, obtaining faith through absurdity, and bestowing mercy through violence.
Cerina: That's right! Extremely contradictory taboos are very inflammatory, they can strip everything of meaning, leaving only a blank space, allowing us to precisely instill psychological complexes.
Morido: (Unrecognizable)
Cerina: Without much redesign, the experiments had the same basic form and aesthetic. Ginsburg would have thought that in her private sphere, she was the law, and Vanessa would have thought that she was on the path to saving traditional medicine. Their beliefs and their control over the experimental subjects created a crucible full of violent taboos, which allowed us to burn away the personality of the subjects.
Morido: That's too complicated. I don't think researching the replication of consciousness needs to go to that extent.
Cerina: It has to be difficult, otherwise they won't study it; they have to learn this lesson.
Morido: So tell me what they learned, doors and keys, these symbols, and lots of nudity and sexual violence?
Cerina: These symbols all represent luck, like the markings on playing cards, the rabbit, the star, etc. They represent luck, wealth, and wishes. The law is arbitrary, and murderers are punished more severely than those who attempt murder. They are punished only because they are more capable or because they are luckier. They must believe that the law is arbitrary, but it is also undeniable.
Morito: It's tiring talking to you.
Cerina: They'll think a donut can only be a donut, and then we can let them see what a donut really is.

"Damn it, where am I...?"
When Jamie awoke, apart from the mansion in front of him, there was nothing else that could attract his attention, but perhaps because he was not yet fully conscious, he did not have time to notice those details.
"Damn..."
Looking at the mutilated corpses on the ground, he finally realized that he seemed to have come to the wrong place...
The arms of those corpses were haphazardly severed, and someone had cut open their abdominal cavities, tearing their internal organs all over the ground. What kind of madman would be interested in creating such a horrifying work?
Jamie quickly checked that he was not missing anything. Fortunately, he was still safe, but perhaps only for now. After all, those unlucky guys lying on the ground wouldn't tell him that it was safe here.
However, I did discover some unnecessary things about myself...
He wore a vest, with an unidentified device attached to his chest, and a... (unclear text) was welded to his forehead.
"Damn it...! I can't get this off!"
He tried to pull it off twice, but aside from the pain, he couldn't remove it at all. It even landed on his eye, which is how he learned its purpose...
Everything in front of him became clearer and clearer, and at the same time, a dark green filter was added. Without a doubt, this was a night vision device, welded to his head.
He walked slowly forward and found that he was not just in front of a villa in the middle of nowhere, but in a much larger indoor space. He could see metal bridges above him and even some figures walking over them. All signs suggested that this was a huge underground facility.
"..."
The area was surrounded by barbed wire, and corpses were deliberately hung above it. It seemed that there was no other option but to move forward for the time being.
Turning around, there was only a closed metal door, which obviously couldn't be a safe and reliable exit. After a brief hesitation, Jamie finally took a step and walked towards the mansion.
"Ugh! It stinks...!"
The body was not yet decomposed, but the everted intestines were enough to fully display the filthy parts of the human body. Jamie couldn't help but gag. Even when he had pushed people into latrines, he had never felt so disgusted.
Upon entering the villa, the scene before him was quite different from what he had imagined...
The corridor was equipped with surveillance cameras, as well as several screens that played phrases like "Rebirth and Reshaping Your Life" on a loop, leaving people completely baffled.
But before Jamie could figure out the connection, the mannequin that suddenly appeared before him made his heart skip a beat.
"Welcome home, welcome, dear." The cold, mechanical voice, coupled with stiff movements and a bizarre face, perfectly illustrated the uncanny valley effect: "Hopefully this place is still the same as you remember it, so you can destroy it and unload the burden of the past."
Moving by pulleys, the limited mechanical technology makes the dummy's movements very strange, and its servant-like uniform is even more puzzling. And... destroy it, what does that mean?
780 Deny the past
But the dummy didn't answer him; it simply continued to fulfill the mission assigned to this mechanical plastic composite, which was to "walk" along the pre-laid tracks toward the left corridor of the mansion.
"Please come this way."
Taking advantage of this lull, Jamie quickly surveyed the area within his field of vision. Aside from the second-floor staircase still blocked by the iron gate, there were two other options: going straight or the right-hand corridor. However, the wooden doors were all sealed with red tape, clearly impassable for the time being. This meant that his only remaining option was the left side...
......
The mannequin stopped in front of a door. Without much hesitation, Jamie pushed the door open. There was no danger approaching; it was just a dark setting, a stroller, a mannequin baby, and another mannequin lying beside the crib as if it were really her child, if one could ignore the stiff movements and expressions.
"what..."
Jamie was puzzled and was about to turn away when another sound suddenly came from a loudspeaker somewhere in the room. It was a low-level trick like in a horror movie, but it always managed to raise people's blood pressure in an instant, and Jamie himself was no exception.
"You were born, and perhaps this is the most destructive thing you have ever done to the world, but in order to embrace the future, you must let go of the past and give up your birth."
......What?
The female voice was relatively gentle, much better than a mechanical synthesized voice, but it was still annoying.
Jamie didn't consider himself a coward. After all, he was capable of risky things like kidnapping, so why would he be afraid of trouble? But reason told him that the person who said those words to him must be observing his behavior somewhere. He felt like a lab rat, an experimental subject active in this fake, artificial space.
Therefore, he was neither angry nor did he question loudly. Instead, he coldly surveyed everything around him, trying to find the source of the sound. However, the dummy had already left the door, seemingly implying that he should move further.
Jamie quickly followed, and the mannequin returned to the corridor along the slide rails, continuing to move deeper into the corridor, while simultaneously "reminding" him...
"This leads to the game room, where you used to have a lot of fun."
Game room...
Sure enough, following the sound, the red seal on the door was pulled aside, and it could be opened easily with a gentle push.
There was only a small incandescent light shining in the room, and just like in the nursery, there was a set made up of mannequins, except this time the subject was "a family of three".
The mannequin representing the child is riding a bicycle while the parents stand guard. There are also rocking horses, lawns, and lawnmowers—a typical European family scene. Jamie felt a headache coming on; these scenes made him quite uncomfortable, but he didn't know why.
Then the gentle female voice rang out: "Before you learned to speak, you had instincts, your most primal self. These are animal instincts, and you must forget them."
......
He wouldn't agree with what this bastard said, but he couldn't resist now. The sound of rollerblades started again; the dummy must have left. So what he needed to do was hurry to the next scene and figure out where he was...
“This leads to the activity room; that’s where you learned to behave.”
Learn from your mistakes?
An ominous premonition immediately arose, and the entrance to the so-called activity room was a gap made of piled-up furniture, with a lot of dragging bloodstains in it, which was obviously not a safe place.
But the other areas remained blocked, and Jamie had no choice but to suppress his nausea and crouch through the gap.
"Fuck me!"
