Chapter 124: Blocked by Slytherin Juniors
Chapter 124: Blocked by Slytherin Juniors
After we finished eating, we all went back to our respective dorm rooms. I didn't need to go to Severus's place tonight, so I planned to go back to my own dorm.
When I stepped into the Slytherin common room, a group of people, led by Draco Malfoy, looked in my direction.
“Senior Ayers, you’re finally back. Shouldn’t you be with that group of Gryffindor lions in their common room?” Pansy Perkinson said sarcastically, her back to me.
“Pansy Perkinson, can I take this as you questioning me?” I walked step by step behind Pansy Perkinson and whispered in her ear with a chuckle.
But from the moment I took my first step, I brought an invisible pressure to each of them, which gradually built up until I stopped behind Pansy Perkinson. She froze completely and almost burst into tears.
"No~ no~ Senior Ayers, I didn't mean to blame you." Pansy Perkinson was already starting to ramble incoherently.
"And what about you? Is there anything you want to say to me?" The others could all deeply feel the pressure I was releasing on them; it was the aura of dragon might that was part of my dragon bloodline.
Draco Malfoy and Theodore Nott only faced half the pressure of the others.
Because they are my targets, they receive different treatment.
“Senior Ayers, you’ve scared Pansy.” Draco Malfoy, who was sitting opposite Pansy Perkinson, was also a little scared, but since Pansy was his friend, he had to say something.
"Draco Malfoy." I read Draco Malfoy's name word by word, looking intently at the platinum-haired young master opposite me.
Draco Malfoy swallowed hard, looking at me with a nervous expression.
"I suppose it's my freedom to befriend and associate with whomever I want. By what right do you inquire about my situation?" I smiled and walked over to the single sofa next to Draco Malfoy, sat down, propped my chin on one hand, tilted my head to look at Draco Malfoy, and arrogantly looked at everyone with my legs crossed.
Everyone in the lounge looked in our direction and listened quietly to our conversation.
“That’s not what we meant. We just feel that you, as a Slytherin, are getting too close to the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs.” Draco Malfoy coughed to cover his nervousness, trying to play peacemaker.
"They are my friends of two years, and we have a familiar relationship. And you? Freshmen who just entered the university, what gave you the courage to question my freedom to make friends? Is it because of the twenty-eight pure-blood families behind you?" I took out a cup of coffee from my backpack, picked it up and took a small sip, and contemptuously read out the words "twenty-eight pure-blood families".
"You're not even one of the twenty-eight pure-blood families. You're just an orphan wizard. What gives you the audacity to look down on our family?" Pansy Perkinson roared at me angrily after I withdrew my dragon aura.
"Hahaha~ Are all pure-blood families in Britain like this?" I laughed at Pansy Perkinson as I spoke to Draco Malfoy.
“Senior Ayers, we are at least from the twenty-eight pure-blood families, and you, as an orphan wizard, shouldn’t you be less arrogant?”
Blaise Zabini also frowned as he looked at me, who was smiling. He also had a family honor to uphold, and as a junior wizard of a pure-blood family, one would not allow outsiders to mock one's family.
"Why are you so sure I'm not a pureblood?" I asked curiously, changing the subject. This was really interesting. They were so quick to conclude I wasn't a pureblood. Did they even want to control how I made friends? What would happen if I didn't listen?
“We’ve already investigated your background. If you want to stay in Slytherin until graduation, you’d better leave those little lions in Gryffindor.” Pansy Perkinson puffed out her chest and mocked me as her childhood friends spoke up for her.
"You little devils are nowhere near as cunning as your parents." Having interacted with Lucius Malfoy, and then with these children, one finds them genuinely innocent and adorable.
“Ayers, you can’t say that.” This time, Draco Malfoy also spoke up.
"Pure-blood? Take a look, what does this represent?" I took out a badge ring representing the Grindelwald family from my backpack and put it on my middle finger to show them.
This ring was forced on me by my older brother after we rescued Gellert Grindelwald last time. He said that as his brother, how could I not wear the family crest ring?
“This is a family crest ring, how did you come to have it?” Blaise Zabini asked in surprise.
As members of the twenty-eight pure-blood families, they all recognized their family crest rings, and each of them wore one of their family crest rings.
"Ayers, what family are you from?" Draco Malfoy felt that even he didn't recognize the family crest on the ring. He recognized the family crests of all twenty-eight pure-blood families, so why had he never seen the pattern on the ring on Ayers' hand?
"Go back and ask your parents. From now on, mind your own business. It's none of your concern." I put down my unfinished coffee, stood up, put away the ring, and left the lounge to go back to my dorm.
I hadn't originally planned to be so high-profile, but I received a letter from my older brother a few days ago.
Those two are probably incredibly bored at home and are plotting how to get into Hogwarts to have some fun.
I really want to beat my brother to a pulp; he's corrupted my Riddle.
No, I need to find a way to complain to Headmaster Albus Dumbledore and tell him that Gellert Grindelwald is planning to sneak into Hogwarts.
While I was lost in thought, Draco Malfoy, Theodore Nott, and Blaise Zabini followed me into the dormitory.
"Senior Ayers, is it really impossible not to associate with Gryffindor people?" Draco Malfoy actually just didn't like Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, and he had to make a scene with them every time he met them to feel better.
"Draco Malfoy, why do you have this feeling of disliking the Gryffindor wizards?" Is it really true that Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter are destined to be mortal enemies?
Is this really so weird? Can't they reconcile? Even after all the battles are over, will those two be able to sit down amicably? This is going to be really difficult!
