Chapter 2: The Vampire Principal
Chapter 2: The Vampire Principal
"Principal...?" Feeling the stinging sensation, Loki's legs went weak and she knelt on the ground. Because of her movement, Cinderella slightly raised her teeth.
"Ah...did I scare you, Miss Lokishi Migrudia?" As the stinging sensation gradually subsided, Lokishi was able to slowly raise her head to look at the culprit behind it all.
It was a girl with long silver hair. She looked young, perhaps only a few years older than me. Her red eyes, like red gems, scrutinized me. On her pale face was a slightly protruding fang, which was even stained with a little bright red.
Looking at the stunned blue-haired girl before her, Catherine chuckled and said, "Didn't you expect the president of La Noah University to be like this?"
"Ah... I..." Luo Qixi didn't know where to begin. Should she start with the principal's appearance, her actions just now, or her words and deeds? There were just too many things to talk about.
"I can understand your surprise." Catherine still had a smile on her face. "After all, most of the rumors about me say that I am an old witch who is over a hundred years old."
"But don't worry," she said, shrugging. "The rumors about her age here are still true."
"Then...then Principal, you are also...a demon?" Luo Qixi asked subconsciously with a hint of surprise. The joy that the principal was a demon like herself instantly overshadowed the fear she had just felt.
And upon closer inspection, the headmaster also had a pair of pointed ears... This was clearly a demon's...
"I regret to inform you that I am not a demon," Sidrin said calmly. "I am a vampire."
"Blood... vampires?" Luo Qixi was certain that she had never heard of this race before, not only on the Demon Continent, but also on the Central Continent, the Heavenly Continent, and even the Milis Continent.
"In short... they are a race that feeds on blood." Cinderella's casual remark made Loki shrink back.
"So the principal was just... searching for..."
"Ah...you taste so...delicious, I can hardly resist." Cinderella said, blinking her eyes. "I've been looking forward to tasting you again ever since you enrolled."
"I never expected it to take so long to succeed."
"When we enrolled...?" After a few seconds of recollection, Luo Qixi suddenly remembered that when she first enrolled, every student had to submit a blood sample... So this blood wasn't used for any kind of experiment... but was eaten by the principal!
"Demons, elves, humans, beastmen... each race tastes different." Cinderella said, casually picking up a cup and filling it with red liquid under Loki's gaze.
"The worst-tasting one is probably the orc... it has an indescribable fishy smell." She said, sitting down and casually sipping the liquid in her cup.
"Then there are humans... this needs to be divided." She spoke in a tone of connoisseurship, like a gourmet connoisseur: "Each human tastes a little different... the taste of the Milis followers is, strictly speaking, among the best... it has a light and refreshing feel... somewhat similar to what you call fruit wine."
"Glug." Luo Qixi pursed her lips and watched her drink the red liquid in the glass in one gulp.
"Finally, there are the demons and elves." She smiled as she spoke, then picked up the small pot again and filled the cup, continuing as she poured, "The elves taste a bit stronger than the humans... but there's always something indescribable about it."
"It could be arrogance... or rudeness."
The red liquid dripped slowly from the spout, making Luo Qixi feel increasingly frightened in the dimly lit room.
Finally, Sidley paused, picked up her cup, and slowly walked over to Loki.
"Demon blood is the best," she commented. "Especially yours... Miss Migludia... I never imagined I'd taste something so delicious."
"It's as deep and complex as a wine that's been aged for many years..." she said with a smile, then handed the glass to Loki: "Would you like some?"
"Huh?!"
Seeing the girl flinch at her sudden movement, Cidlin chuckled softly: "Don't misunderstand, Miss Lokishi Migrudia, there's no blood in this cup."
"It is wine from the Kingdom of Asura."
"If you don't believe me, you can smell it."
Luo Qixi subconsciously twitched her nose slightly, and then she could indeed smell a faint scent of alcohol.
"Would you like to try some?"
Without asking any questions, Cynthia simply placed the cup in Loki's palm and then casually let go, forcing Loki to hold the cup tightly.
"It's been a while since I've spoken to my students," Sidley said slowly as she watched Loki take the cup. "The main reason is probably because I don't like leaving here."
"After all, this is a very good place." She paused, then said, "It doesn't dislike sunlight, it's not cold... it's secluded, which is suitable for experiments."
"But I still quite enjoy listening to your conversation."
"After all, I didn't come here as principal just to taste blood, right?"
Luo Qixi held her wine glass, unsure of what to say. Although the principal seemed no different from an ordinary person during the conversation, the topics she raised were increasingly difficult to answer.
"You're about to choose a mentor, right?"
"Huh?" Luo Qixi was taken aback by the question, feeling a little unaccustomed to such a tangent topic.
"Every student at Lanoa University has to choose their own advisor when they reach their senior year," Sidlin said slowly as she sat back down in her chair, casually taking a small box from her drawer and placing it on the table.
Who would you choose?
"Is it Professor Groni, the Earth Saint Mage who is skilled in earth magic?"
"Or is it Professor Ragni, the fire mage who excels in fire magic?"
Seeing that Luo Qixi remained silent, Xi Delin raised an eyebrow and said, "Ah... I understand."
"It should be the Water Saint Ginas, who is skilled in water magic, right?"
"..." Seeing Loki's body tremble slightly, Cinderella knew she had guessed correctly.
She nodded gently and said, "Professor Genius is a very serious and responsible person... Following him, you might be able to graduate successfully... and if you have good talent... you could also become a Water Saint Mage."
Seeing Loki's pursed lips, Cinderella raised an eyebrow: "However... he might not be right for you."
"Professor Genius is a Water Saint-level mage... one of the best at Lanoa Magic University... but... he's a bit too strict." Cidelina paused, then continued, "And..."
"He's just a Water Saint." Cinderella's words caused Loki's pupils to dilate slightly.
"Miss Lokishi Migludia... if you're interested... please choose me as your mentor." Cidel said slowly, seeing her surprised expression. "Although I'm not very good at magic, I'm much better than Professor Genus at water magic."
"And more importantly..." She slowly took an Asura silver coin out of the box and placed it in Loki's hand.
"Every time I taste your blood... I will give you a silver coin as a reward."
"I believe this must be very important to you, right?"
