Chapter 9 The First Dragon Ball
Chapter 9 The First Dragon Ball
In three days, Master Roshi taught the two everything he knew, from the basics of ki cultivation and meditation to the Kamehameha and even the World Shock Palm. Except for the Mafuba, which he didn't teach, the two little ones readily accepted everything and easily and happily learned it all.
"I have nothing more to teach!"
Looking at Ella, whose aura had become noticeably more composed and reserved in just three days, and then at Rhodey beside her who appeared even more confident and relaxed, Master Roshi waved his hand and said to the two of them with a helpless expression:
"From now on, as long as you persevere in your training, your strength will naturally improve."
"Thanks, old man!"
Hearing Master Roshi's words and sensing the changes within herself, Ella pouted, gave him a haughty shout, and then turned her head to look elsewhere, as if she hadn't been the one who spoke.
"This girl is really hypocritical!"
Ella's stubbornness made Master Roshi chuckle, and he couldn't help but complain to Rhodes, who was watching the show with a smile.
But no sooner had he finished speaking than he was sent flying, followed immediately by Ella's voice: "Old man, don't force me to kill you!"
Despite his pitiful appearance, Master Roshi returned unharmed, seemingly without a scratch. He grinned mischievously, winked at Rhodes, and muttered under his breath, "See? What a tsundere little guy!"
This time, Ella didn't continue to beat people up; she merely snorted coldly to express her displeasure.
With Ella's strength, how could she not hear Master Roshi's words? She just ignored him because he taught her how to train.
In three days, after mastering the methods of ki cultivation and the techniques taught by Master Roshi, Ella finally realized that her previous use of power was terrible, and she had not brought out the full potential of her power.
Even though three days is a short time, Ella could clearly feel the increase in her strength, even if that increase was insignificant.
You know, it was normal to not improve for one or two months when we weren't fighting, but now we can clearly see the improvement in just three days, which is really extraordinary!
In fact, in just three days, it wasn't just Isla who changed. After spending time together, Master Roshi also discovered that Rod was indeed just like his aura—moderate, calm, and confident.
But Ella's behavior was somewhat unexpected. In his view, the little girl was not a born bad person, but rather a child who had been led astray.
If this little girl stays with Rhodes, even if she doesn't completely change for the better in time, she won't become a vicious villain.
"Master Wu Tian, let's have a good meal today!"
Master Roshi had taught them everything he could, and the two had learned it all. With the day of parting approaching, Rod suggested this, and then called out to Ella, who was training, "Ella, come on, let's go prepare some food."
With that, he greeted Master Roshi, then took Ella with him and flew into the sky, heading towards a nearby town.
"This is probably the disciple who graduated from my apprenticeship in the shortest time!"
Watching the two small figures disappear from sight in a short while, Master Roshi stroked his mustache and muttered to himself with a strange expression, "Saiyans? Are all life forms in the universe this powerful?"
Recalling the information he had learned from the two, Master Roshi was both surprised and worried. He was surprised by the aliens' strength, but worried about who could deal with them if they came to Earth and caused destruction.
After all, he didn't believe that all aliens were as gentle as Rhodes, or that Ella, despite her volatile temper and tendency to threaten violence at the slightest provocation, had someone like Rhodes to keep her in check and prevent her from acting recklessly.
I should do something!
Thinking about the potential crisis facing Earth, Master Roshi had a vague idea in his mind. However, among the martial artists he knew, there was no one who could compare to those two little guys, Rod.
How to be good?
Gazing at the azure sky and the rippling sea, Master Roshi fell into deep thought.
Even after Rhodes and his companion returned with a large amount of food, Master Roshi was still pondering this question.
"Now that you have learned cultivation, will you return to your own planet?"
As the three of them ate and drank heartily, enjoying the delicious food, Master Roshi's eyes flickered as he thought that the matter of the professor's training had come to an end. He couldn't help but ask Rhodes a question.
Despite Master Roshi's probing, Rod shook his head dismissively: "No, we've decided to live on Earth from now on. This planet is quite habitable, especially the food—it's much better than on our planet!"
"Rhodes is right!"
Ella, who was standing nearby, kept mumbling as Rod compared the food in front of her with what he had eaten before. Clearly, this violent little girl had been completely conquered by the food on Earth.
When Master Roshi heard that the two of them would be living on Earth from now on, he was taken aback at first, but then the worry between his brows instantly disappeared, and he thought to himself: Isn't the problem solved?
In his view, no matter how powerful other aliens are, as long as these two little guys are around, Earth should be fine. After all, the two of them can't just stand by and watch their planet be destroyed.
"Haha, that's great!"
With the gloom in his heart gone, Master Roshi downed several large glasses of beer, and his mood instantly became very cheerful.
"Master Wu Tian, this bead is quite beautiful. Can I borrow it for a while?"
As the three of them were enjoying their meal, Rod's gaze fell on the three-star sphere Master Roshi was wearing on his chest, and he spoke to it.
"This bead?"
Seeing that Rhodes was interested in the bead on his chest, Master Roshi was taken aback. He then took it off his neck, stared at it, and looked at it with some confusion.
Ella, who was standing nearby, saw Master Roshi take down the three-star ball, reached out and grabbed it, and examined it carefully. However, no matter how she looked at it, it was just a crystal-clear bead with three stars inside. Apart from looking the same from all directions, there was nothing special about it.
"It's just an ordinary bead, Rhodes, what's so interesting about it?"
Once she realized it was just an ordinary bead, Ella immediately lost interest, casually tossed it to him, and couldn't help but complain.
Ella felt that Rod was becoming less and less like a Saiyan. As a Saiyan, instead of thinking about fighting or how to improve his strength, he was playing with beads.
"This one bead is really nothing special."
Rod didn't take Ella's complaints seriously, treating her like a child and not arguing with her, only emphasizing the word "two" in his words.
"Hiccup! Speaking of which, there's a legend that's been circulating on Earth for ages. It's said that there are seven Dragon Balls scattered all over the world, and if you can collect them all, you can summon Shenron and have any wish granted!"
As they spoke, Master Roshi, recalling a legend that had been passed down on Earth, hiccuped as he told the two the story. Finally, looking at the three-star ball in Rod's hand, he exclaimed, "Hiccup! Speaking of which, Rod, this ball is related to the legendary Dragon Ball!"
Clang!
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh~"
Before he could finish speaking, Master Roshi was so drunk that he passed out, slumped onto the table, and fell into a deep sleep, impossible to wake up no matter how much he was called.
