Chapter 28 Flight Lessons
Chapter 28 Flight Lessons
Flying is probably the dream of all human beings.
Vaughn, who was not very enthusiastic at first, cheered loudly when he actually rode the broomstick and flew into the sky.
The exhilarating feeling of leaving everything behind, soaring through the air with your robes fluttering in the wind, seems to make you forget all your troubles.
After asking Madam Hooch for permission, Vaughn and Harry flew around the pitch for a while.
When they returned, Ron, Malfoy, and the others had already successfully taken off.
A few young wizards remained on the ground.
This includes Nawei.
Mrs. Hodge kept instructing him on the correct posture and how to hold the broom, but Neville could never remember. The memory ball hanging around his neck shone like a ballroom lamp.
Malfoy and his henchmen laughed loudly.
Ron and Seamus were confronting them, so Harry quickly flew over.
At this moment, Neville, who had barely managed to float in mid-air, suddenly turned pale and fell unsteadily, seemingly forgetting something.
As Mrs. Hooch, who was prepared, drew her wand and saw two spells strike Neville from above.
"Obstacles are numerous!"
"Le Vioza!"
Neville was secured at a height of 5 feet with his limbs spread wide.
My face was covered in snot and tears from being thrown out by inertia, but at least I didn't fall directly to the ground.
"Well done, Mr. Vaughn Weasley, Slytherin +5!"
Lady Hooch breathed a sigh of relief and quickly broke the spell to put Neville down. The little fat boy was already in a daze from fright.
Concerned about his mental state, Madam Hooch gave him a few hasty instructions before taking Neville to see Madam Pomfrey. Watching Madam Hooch leave, Malfoy became even more unrestrained, riding his broomstick around Harry, loudly mocking him:
"Potter, do you see Longbottom? Waaaaah, Mommy, I'm so scared... Oh, sorry, I forgot, Longbottom doesn't have a mommy or daddy!"
This remark infuriated Harry.
Even Vaughn was amazed by Malfoy's ability to court death.
How could someone with that brain of his say such vicious things without thinking?
Harry shoved Malfoy hard, while Ron cheered loudly from the side.
The two of them had been looking forward to fighting Malfoy for a long time.
Now flying in the sky, without the professor, Crabbe and Goyle, those two little giants, are huddled on their brooms like quails.
The timing was perfect!
Malfoy seemed to realize his predicament and hurriedly fled, the two flying one after the other towards Hogwarts Castle.
"Harry! Harry!" Hermione cried out anxiously, glaring at Ron before pleading with Vaughn, "Vaughn, please, go and bring them back! If the professors see them, our Gryffindor and Slytherin grades are doomed."
Vaughn, who had originally intended to go see what was going on, nodded upon hearing this and followed after them.
By the time Vaughn arrived, Harry and Malfoy had already circled the towering spires of Hogwarts like they were walking through flowers.
Even in this situation, Malfoy refused to yield to Harry: "Come on, Potter, haven't you eaten?"
"You and Longbottom must be very close, considering neither of you have parents!"
Vaughn sighed. To be honest, for a moment he wanted to curse Malfoy; his words were too venomous.
Sure enough, Harry let out a loud shout.
Without any further hesitation, he suddenly accelerated, knocking Malfoy off the broom.
But he immediately regretted it. Although he was angry, he never thought of killing Malfoy.
Harry quickly turned around, caught up with Malfoy, and caught him.
The poor old brooms at the school were bearing a weight they shouldn't have had to carry.
It spewed out a plume of black smoke and then fell to the ground.
Just as the two men were screaming and about to fall to the ground from a height of about 10 feet.
Vaughn, who was chasing from behind, and someone in an open window of a tower ahead, simultaneously cast spells:
"Obstacles are numerous!"
"Stop the shock absorbers and reduce speed!"
The two clung tightly to each other, suspended in mid-air.
Vaughn quickly waved his wand and cast another levitation charm, floating them towards the window. He then stopped sweeping and bowed to the figure that appeared behind the window.
Good afternoon, Professor McGonagall!
Professor McGonagall's face turned ashen; her stern, imposing expression looked like she was about to devour someone. "This is terrible, Mr. Vaughn Weasley. If you hadn't arrived, if this hadn't happened so close to my office..."
Her hand gripping the wand trembled, and she gasped for breath.
"These two foolish children will probably have to stay with Mrs. Pomfrey for a month!"
"Merlin, this is the first time in all these years that I have seen something so terrible. Two first-year students, disregarding classroom discipline, are fighting on flying broomsticks."
"It almost caused a major accident!"
As she spoke, she glared angrily at Harry and Malfoy, who had landed at her feet and were still hugging each other under the effect of the spell.
Then he said to Vaughn, "Mr. Weasley, although you also failed to follow classroom rules, your behavior deserves an extra 20 points for Slytherin."
"Now, go back to class. Also, inform Mrs. Foch of the details."
"Okay, Professor."
Vaughn swished his broom and flew away, and Professor McGonagall's roar could still be heard from a great distance.
This was the first time he had ever seen Professor McGonagall so angry.
"This is much more exciting than the original story. I wonder if Professor McGonagall will still let Harry join the Quidditch team..."
Vaughn had no intention of interfering with Harry's fate; he preferred to approach things from his own perspective and let nature take its course.
For example, the reason he saved Neville today without hurting him was because he had a very good impression of Neville.
On the other hand, the conflict between Harry and Malfoy was inevitable; the two were naturally at odds, and Malfoy's foul mouth was also unexpected by Vaughn.
Unless he's willing to be Harry's babysitter and keep Malfoy in check every day, the conflict between the two will eventually erupt!
Back at the Quidditch pitch, Vaughn shook his head at his longingly looking at Hermione.
I explained what happened.
Hermione turned pale instantly.
After asking Harry if he was hurt, she started trembling: "I! Just! Know! They're going to cause trouble!"
Ron got scared too and quickly moved closer to Vaughn: "Harry, Harry won't get expelled, will he?"
Hermione retorted angrily, "Now you're scared? Then why did you encourage him before? Just watch, even if he's not expelled, his Gryffindor points are ruined!"
Ron, unusually, didn't dare to argue with her.
When flight class ended, the two of them dragged Vaughn to see the academy hourglass.
Seeing that Gryffindor lost 60 points and Slytherin lost 40 points, but Vaughn also gained 20 points.
The reason is that although Malfoy provoked Harry, he did not attack first. It was Harry who made an inappropriate move that almost caused an accident.
In an instant, the score difference widened to 40 points, and Hermione was almost in despair!
Later, Harry was finally released by Professor McGonagall, who brought him the good news that she had allowed him to join Quidditch.
But Hermione didn't want to hear it, and Harry wasn't happy either, because there was more bad news—
He's going to be put in solitary confinement with Malfoy!
