Chapter 293 The Buddha's Wrath
Killing Superman was also an acceptable part of Ultron's plan. According to his assessment, Superman posed a far greater threat than the other female Kryptonian and had to be eliminated immediately.
As for the gene sample, he could obtain it from the remaining Kara.
"No!"
Having witnessed Joey being blown to smithereens, Batman roared in disbelief. Witnessing Superman's death once again, the immense emotional impact made the Green Lantern of his will even more profound and obscure, with a faint golden light flickering within it.
The projection of the Bat God unleashed unprecedented power, manifesting even more claws on its original arm, shattering Ultron 30k's body.
But it was too late; at the center of the fusion explosion, not a trace was left.
Ultron 30k just laughed maniacally: "You're next!"
Without the Kryptonian elbow, Ultron's giant machine gained countless superpowers, making its attacks even bolder.
Even when Batman erupts in anger, he is no match for a creation that has evolved to this level, and is quickly defeated.
This is bad news—even if the ultimate Spider-Man, Parker Octopus, couldn't see the battle clearly from a great distance, he could still tell who would win the fight between the two colossal giants.
Just as Zhang Parker was racking his brains to come up with a solution, he turned his head and saw an Ultron robot crawling up in front of him.
"Damn it!"
Zhang Parker let out a strange cry and prepared to swing out his web to escape. He had already experienced the power of these Ultron robots several times. Even small units at the grunt level could give him a hard time if they got entangled.
Unexpectedly, the Ultron robot spoke up and called out Zhang Parker's real name: "Don't panic, Otto."
Ant-Man, whose body was almost entirely mechanized, called out to Chew Parker. Perhaps Ultron needed his intelligence, or perhaps it was to humiliate him. Although his body belonged to Ultron, his mind still belonged to himself.
"It's me, Pym. I have an idea."
"Don't go any further." The situation had already become so bizarre, and the spider-sense hadn't given any warning, so Zhang Parker thought it best to hear what other tricks Ant-Man had up his sleeve:
"I bet your next sentence will be, 'But I need your help.'"
Spider-Man is always on edge; if his spider-sense senses anything amiss, he must immediately flee from Ant-Man: "Don't betray the trust I've placed in you for no reason."
"They're about to lose, but they can hold off Ultron for a long time," Ant-Man stated an obvious fact.
"I know of a portal to the future, leading to Ultron's core base, a mechanical planet."
All of Ultron's mechanical structures and weapon materials were produced there and then sent to the past, which is their current point in time.
"You know?" Zhang Parker remained noncommittal. "That's highly suspicious—is it 'you know,' or did Ultron 'tell you to know'?"
"I have no idea."
Ant-Man's body had already transformed so rapidly that it was indistinguishable from Ultron's. He scratched his metallic head, equally clueless about the matter.
"But Ultron's cold backup core is likely there too—we can try to activate that backup Ultron."
"Are you really insane? Activating another Ultron just so he can wipe us all out from the other side?"
Zhang Parker was quite confused by the plan: "Dude, if I wanted to die, I could just wait for Ultron here. Why go through all this trouble?"
"You're an arrogant bastard, Otto. Use your brain and think this through—Ant-Man's plan to awaken Ultron's cold backup hidden in the rear base may sound crazy, but right now it might be the only chance to stop Ultron:"
"What would you do if Peter Parker came back one day and wanted to take away the body that originally belonged to him?"
With this example, Parker, who had already taken over Spider-Man's body, immediately understood Ant-Man's thinking, and he couldn't help but gasp:
"You really are a madman, Dr. Pym."
Technically speaking, merging two different AI programs would be possible by synchronizing their data, but this certainly wouldn't apply to a super AI like Ultron, which possesses all the worst human emotions.
Once Ultron's cold backup is activated, it will only recognize itself as the real 'Ultron'!
"So, I agree—to you?"
Zhang Parker tentatively agreed, then silently waited for feedback from his spider-sense. After waiting for a long time and finding no response at all, there was only one answer: "Lead the way, Otto, let's go to the future!"
Parker knew he didn't have many options. If he stayed here and waited for Ultron to finish off Superman and his crew, he would surely die.
Heading into the future, regardless of Ant-Man's good or bad intentions, the outcome of the two facing Ultron will inevitably be death.
But since we're going to die anyway, why not take a longer route?
"Come with me."
Ant-Man, connected to Ultron's data link, learned where Ultron's time-traveling logistics line originated, leading Parker into the underground pipeline and disappearing.
Meanwhile, the battle between Ultron 30K and Green Lantern Batman is nearing its end. The materialized Bat God projection is riddled with cracks and could disintegrate at any moment in the next collision.
"You are an extraordinary human being, with almost no weaknesses except for your mortal body."
With victory seemingly assured, Ultron 30k couldn't resist praising his opponent, since elevating his opponent was tantamount to elevating himself: "I almost had to go all out against you."
One of the Kryptonians is dead, and the other is incapacitated. It is truly unprecedented that this ordinary human has managed to hold out for so long with the help of some novel equipment.
But his good fortune didn't last long. Just as Ultron was about to utter a few more trash words before seizing the victory, he suddenly exclaimed in surprise, "Pym! You little bastard!"
He realized that Ant-Man had traveled to the future through his portal system.
The reason Ant-Man's free will wasn't stifled was so that he could better debug Ultron's system, not so that he could exploit vulnerabilities at this critical juncture!
Ultron 30K had lost all interest in playing around with Batman. It immediately increased its power, unleashing a laser beam powerful enough to ignite the atmosphere of an entire planet from its chest, ready to deliver a fatal blow to the still-fighting Batman.
Then he saw a beam of pure white light.
The sky, still blood red from the artificial red sun beams, was cleaved by a beam of light that seemed to originate from the heavens. In the direction where the light finally converged, a figure materialized from the spot where Joey had been vaporized, standing between the projection of the bat behemoth and Ultron.
The silver-white giant stood right in Ultron's path of attack. A laser beam powerful enough to split a planet in two pierced the silver-white giant's chest, where the energy fused and exploded, sparking sparks powerful enough to distort space.
After Ultron's full-force laser beam ended, the silver-white giant remained standing, his body unharmed and shining even brighter, standing on the earth as a giant of light.
"And what are you?"
The appearance of this giant of light was not part of Ultron's plan.
"iu~shua~wa!
'
The silver-white giant in front of him uttered syllables that Ultron had never heard before, but strangely, although there were no models of this language in his database, it did not affect Ultron's ability to understand what the other party was saying.
This can be interpreted in two sentences—
"I am Ultraman" and "You have made a huge, almost unforgivable mistake!"
The emotion in the second sentence can even be glimpsed directly from the face of the Giant of Light.
The giant's once serene, solemn, Buddha-like, gentle, and sacred face now displays only a Vajra-like wrath.
