Chapter 36 Game Over
Chapter 36 Game Over
With a wave of his hand, Joey sent heads rolling to the ground beside him.
It was like when I was still in Kansas, my childlike side resurfaced, and I picked up a tree branch and mischievously knocked down countless ears of wheat from Laurie's field.
Joey expected him to have a bigger reaction.
What he is doing now is essentially the same as some of the things he reported in his previous life: using superhuman power to harvest lives as insignificant as grass.
But I'm doing this for a better tomorrow.
A woman with long, fluffy orange hair, dressed entirely in black except for a single white vertical stripe down the middle of her face, threw a grenade at Joey. Joey's gaze caused the grenade to explode prematurely, along with half of her body.
This is "Ominous" from the G Special Forces. It is said that she can transfer her bad luck to the enemy, but the information currently appears to be untrue.
For a better tomorrow.
A short-haired woman let out a creepy, cat-like scream and pounced on him. This was "Catman," the last member of the G Special Forces. Joey smashed the woman's head into his chest with a swift motion.
Next came a black man with slicked-back blond hair and an animal-eared helmet. He was called something like "The Resurrected," the last member of the G-class. To prevent him from being resurrected, Joey had to use his heat vision to turn him into ashes.
For a better tomorrow.
···
When there was no other heartbeat at the scene, Joey stopped.
He could feel his power surging like a tide. Even though he was only exerting one percent of his strength this time, the feeling of his blood surging was so real and enjoyable.
In fact, when Han Chao finished speaking, Joey had already been distracted by searching for Laurie's whereabouts. His senses seemed to be enhanced to an unprecedented degree with the continuous killing. Before killing Evil Omen, he had already heard Laurie's soft snoring while she was sleeping.
Laurie is indeed not in any danger.
But his killing spree did not stop.
Just like sneaking out of the fridge in the middle of the night to grab a Coke and potato chips, Joey would deny the act both emotionally and rationally, but in the end, the chips and Coke would be emptied.
Because this feeling is just too wonderful.
When there was no one left to kill, and the pleasure receded like the tide, the accompanying emptiness filled him with fear.
Joey discovered that his Kryptonian body was a natural killing machine. He did kill out of anger, but he was not driven by anger during the killing.
He calmly observed each opponent, and almost every move he made was a targeted, fatal strike, even if their strength was as insignificant as an ant to him.
Joey genuinely wanted to convince himself that killing was a means, not an end.
But the truth is, the pleasure he derived from this killing far outweighed any rational consideration or moral judgment.
He seems to have been born for this purpose.
Now, only the final finishing touches remain.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck! They're all going to die!"
The angel who initially helped Professor G escape was already on the verge of a mental breakdown.
His superpowers are flight and telepathy. The strength of his telepathy is not high; he can only sense the thoughts of other people around him.
In the first sixty seconds of the battle, almost all of the G-Men who could carry a heavy load were wiped out, and by the second minute, nearly half of them had lost consciousness.
He never imagined from the beginning that his side would be no match for even one opponent.
This stark contrast, along with the deaths of his companions, jolted him to the point that he had to temporarily shut down his senses to avoid being driven completely insane.
"Go to that place!"
Professor G sensed the angel's emotions and knew that the worst had happened; they had to escape now.
Ultimately, even flawed products like the G-Men couldn't compete with the ultimate biological weapon created by Vought International. Fortunately, they understood Homelander's capabilities.
Homelander's superhuman vision couldn't see through zinc, so it's likely that other superhumans with similar abilities would be quite similar.
Once I reached the secret exit in the basement, I would be safe. The basement itself was a maze of tunnels, each with a galvanized interlayer.
Once they get there, they can activate the ultrasonic jammer. Even if Superman digs three feet into the ground, he won't be able to find them for a while, which will allow them to leave safely.
Professor G was carried by the angel into the manor hall, where a group of children peeked out from the room where they were hiding.
These are the new generation of 'G-Men', despite Vought's repeated orders prohibiting Gododkin from recruiting new members, he still did it anyway.
These children, who had already received several injections, clutched their plush toys tightly. Looking at Professor G, their eyes held not only deep-seated fear but also an overwhelming sense of dependence.
"Professor G, we're terrified. We hear... lots of people screaming outside..."
"Don't be afraid, kids. We're just playing house."
Professor G forced a kind smile, as he always did:
"In a little while, a person dressed as a ghost will rush in. Once he catches me, we'll lose. You guys have to lie in wait, and when he appears, fight him with all your might, okay?"
"Make sure you use all your strength, don't be afraid of hurting it, it's a grown man! If we win, I'll personally take you to buy a PS4, okay!"
"good!"
The children agreed in unison, their voices crisp and clear, ready to teach the person dressed as a monster a lesson in a little while!
Professor G has been working with children since he founded the G-Men, and he knows how to easily win their hearts with just a few words.
Upon hearing this, the Holy Angel trembled all over. He only remembered being coaxed in the same way by Professor G when he was very young.
He frequently promised to take her to baseball games and buy her hot dogs. His repeated acts of kindness gradually made the angel forget what her family looked like.
But time was of the essence, so the Holy Angel carried Professor G and escaped into the secret exit.
The secret exit built beneath the manor is an intricate network of underground passages. The Holy Angel remembers that, apart from Professor G himself, only Nubia and Silver Woman, those two bitches who were favored by Professor G, knew the exact way out.
This is one of the reasons why Professor G was so furious when he learned of Nubia's collapse and betrayal, to the point that he ordered the Silver Maiden to crush all of Nubia's internal organs.
But the Archangel saw something that Professor G couldn't. During the long ordeal, Nubia and the Silver Woman had quietly developed a relationship that went beyond that of colleagues and partners.
This led to another incident within the G-Men a few months later. SilverAsh could no longer live a muddled life in the G-Men, nor could she muster the courage to betray Professor G.
So she chose to end her own life, using her telekinetic powers to crush her own brain on a street in a little-known town.
As the angel carried Professor G through the secret exit passage, he suddenly remembered something.
betray.
Why did it stop?
Professor G, perched on the back of the angel, noticed that the other had stopped. He frowned and impatiently tapped the angel's head with his cane.
"Kid, Superman could catch up to you at any moment!"
The angel released his grip, slamming Professor G to the ground and looking down at him:
"Old Biden, I suddenly realized... uh! Waaah... waaah..."
The angel wanted to say something more, but his throat had already been ripped out by white claws from the depths of darkness.
He knelt on the ground, blood gushing from a hole the size of a bowl, staining Professor G's boots and cane red.
A pair of scarlet eyes emerged from the shadows, and Dr. G saw the Mirror Woman's pale face in the darkness.
Unlike before, she wasn't wearing that white bodysuit; she was completely naked, and her exposed skin was covered in scars.
Cuts, burns, penetrating wounds, lacerations... almost every imaginable wound and scar can be found on her body.
"Oh, it's you."
The Mirror Woman had just killed the Holy Angel who was about to betray them, but Professor G felt no joy at all.
He looked at the naked woman in the mirror, whose only covering was a tattered rag doll hanging around her neck—an old-fashioned toy in the image of Queen Maeve.
This is a style that Vought discontinued many years ago, back when Queen Maeve was still wearing shorts with the Stars and Stripes pattern.
"The first thing you did after regaining your freedom was to look for that stupid rag doll instead of killing me?"
There are no mirrors in the underground passage. The Mirror Woman who came here is her true form, the one controlled by Professor G.
As many mirrors there are, so too is the Mirror Woman's clone. As long as her original self is alive, her clones are neither alive nor dead.
That's why Professor G had tried many ways of playing with the often disobedient Mirror Girl that he couldn't try with other children long ago.
Now, no one knows who has released the Mirror Woman's true form, and Professor G already knows what fate awaits him.
"A person who, like me, cannot die, gave me freedom."
The Mirror Woman reached out and grabbed Professor G's neck, tightening her grip little by little. Her superhuman strength left Professor G with no room to resist: "I'll enjoy this process."
She had many thoughts she wanted to inflict on this old beast, but even tearing his flesh piece by piece wouldn't be a fraction of the suffering she was enduring.
But there's no time now.
As Professor G died completely and lost the strength to struggle, the Mirror Woman snapped his neck without hesitation.
She clutched the plush toy to her chest tightly; it was the only thing that could bring her a little sense of security during the long years after she was lured to G-Men.
Now she is heading towards her own freedom.
hum!
Two beams of thermal vision from outside the atmosphere pierced through the thick earth and layers of pipes, precisely cleaving the Mirror Woman and the Queen Maeve toy on her chest in two vertically from beginning to end.
After confirming that no one had escaped, Joey lunged forward. He slightly released his biofield, and the friction between his body and the atmosphere burned away the mottled bloodstains on his body, revealing the golden 'S' logo on his chest once again.
He desperately wanted to be beside the sleeping Laurie immediately, but after much deliberation, he decided to land back in the G-Men Manor and walk into the hall.
"Scattered stars!" "Rainbow candy rays!"
A boy emerged from behind the fountain where he was hiding, conjuring a ball of light in his hand and throwing it at Superman. Meanwhile, behind an overturned banquet table, a girl popped out, opened her third eye, and shot a rainbow beam of light at Joey.
Joey twisted the ball of light out with his fingers and caught the rainbow-colored rays in his palm.
His eyes swept over the seven or eight children in the room, all dressed up as if they were celebrating Halloween, laughing and preparing to unleash superpowers that could instantly annihilate ordinary people.
Superman sighed helplessly, then clapped his hands lightly, interrupting the children's antics:
"Alright, children, listen to me—Professor G has gone far away, and I can no longer catch him!"
Superman beckoned the children to gather around him; he had already heard the approaching uninvited guests in the distance.
"Come here, everyone! The ghost-catching game is over!"
