Chapter 156 Summer Training
Chapter 156 Summer Training
"Drink this, Harry. You're a good boy, you'll drink the potion obediently, won't you?" Dumbledore held a black potion bottle in his hand, the mouth of which emitted a strange bitter smell, and it looked very unpleasant to drink.
"Headmaster...can I not be a good boy?" Harry asked, his face full of resistance. This drug felt like it could kill him. He silently hid behind Draco, concealing himself.
Dumbledore reached out and pulled Harry out. "No, drink it now! This medicine will enhance your soul's power. You have to drink it." He had gone to great lengths to get this from the East, where the study of the soul was far more advanced than theirs.
Upon hearing that it could increase strength, Harry closed his eyes and poured it directly into his mouth. However, he hadn't prepared himself mentally enough; it tasted even worse than Severus's potion. He grabbed the water glass and gulped down three cups in a row.
"Headmaster, are you sure you haven't been tricked? This tastes even worse than Professor Snape's potions!!!"
Harry asked a probing question; he almost vomited from the drug. Draco quickly took out two candies, unwrapped them, and fed them to Harry.
"Of course not. This stuff took me a lot of effort, even using Gale's influence. It has to be eaten three times a day without fail. According to them, it should be effective in a week."
"Could you make it taste better? Otherwise, I don't want to eat after taking my medicine..."
"No, it will affect the efficacy of the medicine."
"..."
Ron stood in the corner, laughing gleefully; their brotherly bond had completely vanished. After Dumbledore left, he feigned sympathy and comforted Harry, "It's alright, it's only a week, it'll be over soon."
"Little Dragon, they're all bullying me." Harry ignored Ron, buried his head in Draco's arms and pretended to cry, while his hands wandered around Draco's waist.
Hermione and Ron, seeing this, suddenly felt very full. They left hand in hand, feeling that this place was not suitable for anyone else.
Dumbledore returned to his study upstairs. Gellert, hearing the door open, put down his pen and looked towards the doorway.
"You let him drink it?"
"Hmm, I wonder how effective it will be."
"It should be good, anyway, it won't cause any problems."
"Gail, don't gloat like that..." Dumbledore said helplessly, wondering why Gellert had been enjoying seeing Harry get the short end of the stick more and more lately.
"I'll try my best." After all, this kid was Dumbledore's favorite student, and Gellert had been jealous of him for a long time.
"Sigh." Dumbledore sighed, looking at Gellert with a complicated expression, feeling that he was becoming more and more petty, even jealous of a child.
The elderly couple upstairs are jealous and envious, while the young couple downstairs are all lovey-dovey.
Draco felt sorry for Harry having to drink so many medicines, so he let him stick to him, his whole body pressed against his back like he had no bones.
"Harry, get up a bit, you're hurting me." Draco moved his aching shoulders, signaling Harry to let go. But Harry pulled him onto his lap and continued to cling to Draco, diligently massaging him with both hands.
"Let me hold you like this for a while. We haven't been this close in almost a year."
"Then you can't keep pressing down on me like that."
"Definitely not."
The tall Harry just managed to pull Draco into his arms and let him sit on his lap. Draco held a book and read it with Harry, occasionally answering his questions.
"Let's go to the restaurant for dinner."
"it is good."
Draco put away his book, climbed off Harry's lap, and let Harry take his hand. The two strolled slowly into the dining room, just as Dumbledore and Gellert came downstairs.
"Children, look who's here!" Dumbledore winked at them and pointed behind them with his index finger.
The four turned around, bewildered, and saw their Professor Salafina. "Children, are you ready for your summer training?" Dumbledore's voice exploded in their ears like a death knell.
"Should we go too?" Ron raised his hand to ask. He wasn't really keen on getting up so early to go for a run. Hermione's eyes were filled with despair. She hadn't done any high-intensity exercise in ages, and she felt like she'd die if she had to go through any serious training.
"Of course, none of you will escape." Gellert looked at them with a smile. It was rare for him to give these brats a nice look, and it certainly wasn't because he was happy to see them in trouble.
Salafina bowed to Gellert, then looked at the four children, "Come upstairs to find me after you finish eating. I'll go put my luggage away first."
Apart from Dumbledore and Gellert enjoying their meal, everyone else at the table seemed to be having their last meal before their execution.
Harry and Draco were slightly better off; at least they knew the intensity of Salafina's training, and were just a little sad that they couldn't go back to sleep. Ron and Hermione, however, were truly terrified. They hadn't had any systematic training, so they were extremely frightened and their hearts were pounding with anxiety.
"Knock knock".
"Professor, we're here." Draco was once again pushed to the front. He glanced speechlessly at Ron, who was hiding behind him, and then at Hermione, wondering why she had taken a liking to this guy.
Hermione glanced at Harry, who was acting all cute and clingy next to her, and looked at him with her eyes, asking him what he had fallen for. The two looked at each other, turned to look at their lovers, and then turned back to look at each other, deciding not to hurt each other anymore, since what they were dating wasn't anything special.
"What are you doing standing at the door? Should I invite you in?" Salafina, sitting on the sofa with a teacup in hand, glanced at them. The four of them quickly went inside and obediently sat in a row.
"Meet at the restaurant at seven o'clock tomorrow morning. Harry and Draco will run for half an hour first. Ron and Hermione will wait until I've assessed their abilities. After morning exercise, take a shower and change clothes, then have breakfast at the restaurant."
Salafina took a sip of tea and continued, "After dinner, you can rest for half an hour. Then Harry will do strength training, Draco and I will practice skills, and Ron and Hermione will also do strength training. Ron, you do half of Harry's training, and Hermione, you do a third."
After hearing the plan for tomorrow, the four of them were stunned. Harry and Draco were wondering why the training intensity was so high, while Ron and Hermione were simply questioning their existence.
"Is there a problem?"
"There are no professors."
"Great, then we'll meet on time tomorrow morning."
Back in the small study, Ron sat next to Hermione, clinging to her with a pitiful expression, feeling like the sky was about to fall. He had learned to be extremely clingy from Harry.
Harry and Draco spent their summers like this every year. In addition, they never gave up their morning exercises at school. Even though the training volume increased, they didn't feel too uncomfortable. At most, they felt a little sorry for their lack of sleep.
"Don't worry, the professor will make a plan based on your condition. He won't give you a lot of training right away," Harry reassured his friends.
"I hope so," Ron said, backing down.
