Chapter 151 Sky Chase
Chapter 151 Sky Chase
Shang Yun suppressed his grief and shook his head forcefully, trying to dispel the overwhelming sorrowful thoughts that surged within him. He slowly opened his eyes, and what came into view were the Namekian corpses lying haphazardly, especially the child. That small body seemed like a blinding light, piercing straight into the softest corner of his heart.
Shang Yun suddenly looked up at the vast sky, his eyes tightly closed, his teeth clenched, and his hands unconsciously clenched into fists at his sides, trying his best to control his surging emotions. He dared not, and did not want to, think of his child who was far away on Earth at this moment.
After a long while, Shang Yun let out a long sigh, as if to expel all the heaviness from his chest. He looked around at the innocent lives lost, his eyes filled with pity and determination. "So be it, the dead are gone, let me see you off on your final journey," he murmured to himself.
After saying that, Shang Yun began to dig vigorously in the ground. Soil gradually piled up under his feet, and sweat kept sliding down his cheeks, dripping onto this unfamiliar and sorrowful land.
Finally, a sufficiently large pit was dug. He gently and carefully placed the Namekian corpses one by one into the pit, as if afraid of disturbing their sleeping souls. Then, he filled the pit back in with handfuls of soil, leveling and compacting it, each movement filled with respect and reluctance.
After dealing with everything, Shang Yun dusted himself off and took out the Dragon Ball Radar from his pocket. His fingers trembled slightly as he pressed the button. As the lights on the radar screen flashed and the pointer moved, Shang Yun's brows gradually furrowed.
“How could it be in the lake? Shouldn’t it be in the house?” Shang Yun murmured, his eyes full of doubt. But after a moment, he seemed to suddenly realize something, and his eyes lit up: “Perhaps it was because it was in the lake that it escaped Vegeta’s search.”
But then Shang Yun shook his head violently, as if denying his own idea: "No, in the original story, the Namekians had a pure and devout faith in the Dragon Balls, and it's impossible for them to hide the Dragon Balls in the lake. Moreover, Vegeta is meticulous and not as simple as Goku who only knows how to fight. Maybe he has already found the Dragon Balls, but he just temporarily hid them in the lake because it was inconvenient to carry them."
A hint of worry and urgency flashed in Shang Yun's eyes: "No matter what, let's find the Dragon Balls first. If Vegeta comes back, it will be troublesome."
Having made up his mind, Shang Yun took a deep breath and stepped into the water, the lake water gradually submerging his ankles, knees, waist... until it swallowed his entire body. Guided by the radar, Shang Yun groped his way forward at the bottom of the lake, searching for the dragon pearl.
……
Vegeta burst out of the water, his agile body standing firmly on the shore. His deep eyes warily scanned the surroundings as he muttered to himself, "It should be nearby. I'll search it more thoroughly."
Before long, a look of joy flashed in Vegeta's eyes: "Found it! It seems my control over ki is still so precise, the throw was really accurate." Looking up, he saw the other four Dragon Balls scattered on the ground not far away.
Vegeta threw his head back and laughed wildly: "Frieza, look! Those five Dragon Balls you held will now belong to me!"
However, before the laughter subsided, a powerful and familiar aura surged towards them like a raging tide from afar. Vegeta's expression changed drastically, his heart filled with shock: "Such a powerful aura! Who could it be? Could it be Zarbon?"
Without a second thought, Vegeta swiftly dodged behind the cliff face, cautiously peeking out to look at the sky.
Krillin, clutching a Dragon Ball, his aura surging, was excitedly speeding through the air. He thought to himself, "Shangyun, Gohan, wait for me. Now that my strength has greatly increased, I will definitely take you to the Grand Elder to awaken your dormant potential. Then you will be even stronger than me!" Krillin was immersed in joy, unaware that his sudden increase in power had caused him to neglect concealing his aura, which Vegeta had already noticed.
Vegeta stared at the Dragon Ball in Krillin's hand, a greedy sneer creeping onto his lips: "It's that Earthling. How did they end up on Namek? But this Dragon Ball in his hand must be the last one. Add to that the Dragon Ball I hid in the lake, haha, all seven Dragon Balls will eventually be mine!" With that, he soared into the air, rushing towards Krillin like a ghost.
Sunlight dappled across the Namekian landscape as Krillin, clutching the Dragon Balls, flew towards the capsule house, his face beaming with barely suppressed excitement. He was so oblivious to the ever-present danger lurking behind him—Vegeta was right behind him, his eyes gleaming with greed.
Vegeta stared at the Dragon Ball in Krillin's hand, a chilling chuckle creeping onto his face. "This Earthling's goal is probably the Dragon Balls too. But now all the Dragon Balls will be mine, hehehehe." He was lost in his fantasy of collecting all the Dragon Balls, oblivious to the lurking dangers around him, like a beast blinded by desire, only seeing its prey.
Not far away, on the ground, Zarbon was frantically searching for Vegeta, like an ant on a hot plate. His heart was filled with fear, and he kept muttering, "Where is Vegeta hiding? I must find him quickly, or Frieza will kill me!" Sweat dripped from his forehead, evaporating instantly on the dry ground.
Just as Sabo was in a state of panic, he suddenly felt a gust of wind whistling past behind him. Startled, he turned around, wondering, "Could it be Vegeta?" However, he saw Krillin instead. Sabo was immediately alarmed: "It's that Earthling! He seems to be holding the Dragon Ball!" Greed instantly seized him, and just as he was about to snatch the Dragon Ball, he caught a glimpse of Vegeta closely following Krillin.
In that instant, a look of astonishment flashed across Sabo's face, which was then replaced by the joy of surviving a close call: "It's Vegeta, you damn guy! I finally caught you!" Without hesitation, he mustered all his strength and charged toward Vegeta like a cannonball.
The blazing sun hung high in the sky, pouring its intense rays upon the vast land, while in the sky, a thrilling chase was unfolding in full swing.
