Chapter 132 The Ceremony Begins

Boruto had already hidden his true body long before he used the Substitution Jutsu. As for the shadow clones that appeared earlier to ambush Kakuzu and talk to them, they were just that—shadow clones.

Just as Kakuzu was lost in thought, three kunai suddenly flew out from the tree above his head, slicing through the air with a sharp sound.

However, Kakuzu reacted quickly the moment Boruto appeared and launched his attack, immediately throwing a tentacle fist at the person above him. This counterattack hit the person hiding above who was secretly attacking.

However, he quickly realized that he had only hit Boruto's shadow clone, and because of this momentary lapse in attention, he was firmly fixed to the tree by the silk thread tied to the back of Boruto's kunai.
