Chapter 122 Not Worth It
Chapter 122 Not Worth It
"Snapped!"
"Immediately imprison them!"
With a piercing sound of books shattering and the sound of incantations, the already battered and heavy books were completely destroyed by the giant beast's claws. The shattered books were scattered on the lawn, demonstrating the destructive power of this behemoth!
Everyone present was so shocked by the scene that their mouths dropped open. Draco even fell to the ground, speechless for a long time.
Seeing that the eagle-headed, horse-bodied winged beast still refused to give up and seemed to intend to continue forward.
A fierce glint flashed in Thea's eyes. She waved her wand again, but before she could finish the incantation, Hagrid, who had reacted quickly, rushed over, grabbed the chain, and shouted at Thea:
"Stop right now!... You'll only anger it!"
Thea looked at Hagrid's agitated state and coldly mocked, "Enrage? Professor, it attacked first! Everyone saw it!"
Hagrid had never seen Thea so sharp and assertive; she shouldn't be like this...
Hagrid hesitated for a moment, but thinking of Buckbeak, he couldn't help but defend it, saying, "But...but no one is hurt..."
"No one is hurt?"
Thea was utterly disappointed. She stared at Hagrid without blinking. "Did you see that book?"
Thea pointed her wand at the mess on the ground and said, word by word, "If I hadn't stopped it in time, this book would have ended up like Draco!"
Thea exuded an imposing aura, and everyone watched this unexpected event in silence.
Draco, who had fallen to the ground, seemed to realize that something was wrong with Thea. His voice was still trembling, clearly frightened by what had just happened.
He slowly got up, his gaze fixed firmly on Thea's side, and whispered, "Thea?...Are you alright?"
Thea turned her head to look at the dirt on the other person's robe. Her face was no longer as rosy as before, and her eyes gradually darkened.
"Thea!"
A slightly unfamiliar female voice suddenly rang out; it was Gella.
She walked over to Thea and said softly, "We need to go to the medical wing now, don't we?"
Thea looked up and gazed into the other person's blue pupils; the deep blue color instantly calmed Thea down.
Thea closed her eyes briefly, then turned to Hagrid, who looked bewildered. "I will write to Uncle Lucius to tell him everything that happened today," Thea said slowly, toying with her wand. "After all, I already reminded the professor, and he specifically said that they wouldn't hurt anyone."
Thea looked up and said clearly, "It was the professor who betrayed our trust."
After saying that, Draco pulled Thea toward the medical wing.
"By the way, Gella, I remember you have a magic camera, right?"
“Take a picture of it,” Thea said coldly.
Gella realized what scene Thea wanted to be photographed, and quickly pulled a palm-sized mini camera from her bag, ready to take a picture of the book's miserable state.
But Harry and his friends blocked their way. Seeing that things were not going well, Zabini immediately called on the Slytherin students to surround them.
"Are you... planning to side with... the professor?"
Gellar looked at the hesitant Gryffindor across from him with some surprise, pausing slightly on the word "Professor".
“Miss Rozier, perhaps we can discuss this further?”
Harry said hesitantly, his face flushing slightly.
"No way! This is the first thing Thea asked me to do!"
Gella smiled, but her tone left no room for refusal.
Upon hearing Gellar's answer, the Slytherin students around her felt a subtle urge to take a step forward.
Seeing that things were going badly, Hermione quickly pulled Harry and Ron, who were standing there dumbfounded, to their feet.
As soon as people made way, Gella snapped away with his camera.
--------
Draco and Thea were unaware of what was happening here.
As soon as the two entered, before Thea could even speak, Madam Pomfrey said knowingly, "I knew it! Dementors have a significant influence on young wizards!"
As he spoke, the other person enthusiastically poured a large cup of potion with a strange smell and handed it to Thea, looking at her with eager eyes.
Thea recognized the potion as a Dreamless Potion and looked at the other person with some confusion.
"You don't look well; you need to get some sleep."
Mrs. Pomfrey immediately spoke up.
Thea took the potion and slowly said, "Just now in the Magical Creatures Protection class, a hippogriff swung its claw at Draco..."
Before Thea could finish speaking, Mrs. Pomfrey nervously pulled Draco over and looked him up and down.
"...I'm not hurt. Thea blocked it with the book. I'm fine."
Draco said stiffly.
“I see,” Madam Pomfrey said with a sudden realization, then turned around and brought over two more cups of potion, handing one to each of them.
“Mr. Malfoy looks like he needs a calming potion, and Miss Black… I think you’ll also need a magic stabilizing potion…”
"After all, an attack from a hippogriff is not something that can be easily blocked."
Thea looked up at the witch whose eyes were full of understanding, picked up her cup, and swiftly downed two cups of potion.
As Thea fell into a deep sleep due to the effects of the potion, Draco's face showed a hint of anger, but it quickly turned into a calm expression. He stared at Thea for a few seconds, then strode out of the medical wing!
He must tell his father this time!
When Draco finished writing the letter and sent it out by owl, he was not surprised to see many familiar owls flying out of Hogwarts.
If he remembered correctly, most of their owners were Slytherin students.
Hagrid is in for a world of trouble!
That beast is going to be in trouble too!
When Draco stepped back into the medical wing, he was surprised to find that the person who should have been lying in bed was now writing furiously with his head down!
This doesn't make sense!
Draco was surprised, but he maintained his composure on the surface.
What homework are you doing?
Draco smiled and curiously leaned closer, only to find that although he recognized all the characters the other person had written, he couldn't understand what they meant when put together.
“This is a paper assignment on arithmetic divination,” Thea explained.
"Arithmetic divination is based on a series of rules and rigorous mathematical calculations. It is founded on the Pythagorean philosophy that asserts that 'the world is built upon the power of numbers,' and the Kabbalah tradition of Jewish mysticism..."
Thea rattled off a long explanation, leaving Draco completely bewildered.
Seeing that Thea seemed completely unaffected, Draco's gaze fell blankly on her face, and he murmured, "They don't deserve it..."
