Chapter 88 Cooperation
Chapter 88 Cooperation
"Thea, are you going to the library? Shall we go together?"
Draco sat on the sofa and watched Thea rush out. Even though he was a little puzzled as to why she wasn't carrying her backpack, he still asked her.
Thea paused suspiciously for a moment, looked Draco up and down, and then slowly said, "I'm not going to the library right now. I received a letter. If you can promise me you'll control your temper, I'll let you come with me."
Draco was curious and guessed that Thea might be going to introduce him to her mysterious friend, so he immediately agreed.
“…Potter! What are you doing here?” Draco stared in disbelief at the three people on the observatory.
Harry and his two companions were also surprised and instinctively looked at Thea.
Thea coughed awkwardly twice and explained, "Potter, didn't you say in your previous letter that you wanted to thank me? I was thinking, since Draco was there that day, shouldn't you thank him too? After all, he didn't expose you."
“But he was clearly stopped by you…” Ron was indignant and was about to tell the truth when the clever Hermione stepped on his foot.
"Oh! Hermione, what are you doing?" Ron cried out in pain, but stopped talking.
Thea was amused and turned to look at the little witch with a solemn expression.
Hermione blushed slightly at the thought of apologizing, but still said firmly, "I'm sorry, Thea. I didn't think things through at the time. I subconsciously thought you wouldn't tell us the truth, which led to a series of foolish actions."
We betrayed Thea's friendship and doubted Thea's loyalty to our friendship.
sorry!"
Ron opened his mouth wide, seemingly surprised by Hermione's "foolish behavior".
After Hermione finished speaking, Harry continued, "I'm sorry, Thea. Whether it was the rude things I said to you at the year-end party in our first year, or what happened when I barged into the Slytherin common room, I owe you an apology. I hope it's not too late." The boy paused, "I'm sorry, Thea."
"And Draco, thank you for saving me on the Quidditch pitch, and thank Thea for saving me from Professor Lockhart."
I would like to express my gratitude once again for Thea's confinement by Dumbledore.
Don't worry, I will definitely help you in the future as long as it's within my power! I will do my best!
The boy's sincere expression was deeply imprinted in Thea's mind. Potter, you're still too young. You don't know how much trouble your promise will bring you...
All eyes were now on Ron, which made his freckled face flush red. "I'm sorry... Malfoy... and Thea, Harry and I shouldn't have barged into the Slytherin common room... and we shouldn't have taken Polyjuice Potion to try and get information from you..."
The red-haired boy blushed, and finally managed to stammer out, "If you ever need us in the future, the three of us will do our best to help you!"
Ron's promise was met with frantic nods from the other two, who stared intently at Thea.
Thea chuckled softly, which drew the attention of the three of them.
"I'm a little disappointed. If I had known I could get your promise, I should have called all the Slytherin students over." Thea's tone was light and cheerful, which successfully made the group laugh.
Seeing that the atmosphere had eased, Thea said, "I accept your apology, but I have one request. We would like to join your investigation as well, and I need to know the current progress of your investigation."
As she spoke, Thea gave Draco, who was standing there dumbfounded, a wink.
“Yes…yes, we want to join your investigation.” Draco replied immediately after being reminded.
Hermione looked at Harry and Ron hesitantly, but Harry immediately said, "Okay!"
“Sure,” Thea readily agreed.
Then Thea snapped her fingers, and in an instant, a round table and chairs large enough to seat five people appeared on the open ground next to her.
The speed was so fast that no one else could see how Thea moved, nor did they know what transformation she used.
"Silence spell!" Hermione immediately realized.
"Yes, this is the strength I'm showing you. If we cooperate, you will definitely not suffer any losses."
Furthermore, the Silent Spell isn't a high-level spell; it's generally only used as a backup. My advice is to master armor for protection; that's far more useful.
"Then why do you still want to learn the Silent Charm?" Harry asked, puzzled.
"Because my armor protection skills are pretty good, that's why I suggested you practice armor protection first," Thea said calmly.
Everyone was speechless, unsure of what to say.
"What have you found out about the locked room?"
Thea gestured for the group to sit down and began asking questions.
"Our investigation revealed..."
"and many more!"
Hermione had just started speaking when Thea stopped her.
The three of them looked at Thea with some confusion and doubt.
Draco and Thea simultaneously raised their right wrists, the rings on their wrists turning slightly red.
"Are Daphne and the others looking for us?" Draco asked.
“Yes, all four of them are looking for us, but it shouldn’t be anything urgent,” Thea replied.
"What are those things in your hands?" Harry asked, puzzled.
Draco hesitated slightly, unsure how to explain it to Harry.
Thea noticed Draco's hesitation and explained, "This is an alchemical item I made before; it can be used to transmit information."
"You can do this too? That's amazing!" Harry exclaimed sincerely.
"Thank you for the compliment, but," Thea smiled slightly, "would you like to add four more people? There's strength in numbers!"
The atmosphere became slightly tense when the nine people sat together at the round table.
"Don't be so reserved, everyone! We're all members of the study group, we see each other all the time."
Daphne was clever and understood Thea's meaning. She immediately stood up and introduced herself to Harry and the others, saying, "I am Daphne Greengrass. You can just call me Daphne!"
With Daphne taking the lead, the others introduced themselves, and the atmosphere began to warm up.
"Very well, now that everyone's here, I won't waste any more words!"
"Everyone is gathered here with the same goal—to uncover the final truth of the locked room!"
"Now, Hermione, you tell us about the results of your investigation."
Hermione truly lived up to her potential to become Minister of Magic; even when facing classmates she wasn't familiar with before or had conflicts with, she could still fluently report the information.
