Chapter 51 Hospital Life
Chapter 51 Hospital Life
As Snape's footsteps faded into the distance, the spacious office fell silent once more.
Dumbledore crossed his arms on the table, pondered for a long time, then took out a piece of paper from the drawer and began to write a letter to Malfoy.
After all, Thea and Draco both had incidents at school, and as their guardians, they had the right to know.
Thea, lying on the hospital bed in the medical wing, never expected that she would sleep so well last night!
She briefly recalled the taste of the sleeping pills, and a slight smile appeared on her lips. She knew it; without the help of the pills, how could she have slept so well?
Thea was in a good mood after getting a good night's sleep, which was a rare treat.
But soon, Mrs. Pomfrey brought her bad news.
"What? I have to be hospitalized for a week? And I can't use any magic during this week?"
Thea didn't care that she was in the medical wing; speaking loudly was not the proper etiquette for a noble lady.
Seeing Thea's incredulous expression, Mrs. Pomfrey was clearly experienced: "Thea, it's mainly because your health isn't very good."
Last night's magic intensity exceeded your body's tolerance. A week of hospitalization for observation is the safest course of action.
Hearing Mrs. Pomfrey's explanation, Thea also began to consider it along her lines of thought.
"What? Thea is going to be hospitalized for a week?" Draco was also surprised by the news.
"What? A week?"
Is Thea's condition serious?
"Do I also need to be hospitalized for a week?"
Draco's question seemed to open the floodgates of conversation among the young wizards in the medical wing. In an instant, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and the young wizards eavesdropping outside the door all voiced their questions.
"All right!"
With a roar from Madam Pomfrey, all the young wizards wisely shut their mouths.
Mrs. Pomfrey was finally satisfied and said, "All of you outside, come in. Don't be sneaky!"
The eavesdropping wizards, having been granted permission, filed in one by one.
Thea stared intently.
"Wow, so many familiar faces! Slytherin's news is really timely!"
It was indeed timely. Since Draco and Thea hadn't returned to their dorm last night, their roommates went to the prefect.
Upon hearing that the two precious children were not in their dormitory, female prefect Gemma Farley and male prefect Fane Goldstein were terrified and immediately decided to go find the professor, only to find that the professor was not in his office!
This caused quite a stir in Slytherin. Apart from the fifth and seventh year students who were preparing for their wizarding exams, almost all the students gathered in the common room.
The two who could become Slytherin prefects naturally had extraordinary abilities. With the help of snippets of information from the young wizards, Farne and Gemma gradually pieced together the truth.
In addition, news came from home that Dumbledore rushed back to school last night, and something seemed off in the Forbidden Forest as well.
Most importantly: it seems that the three saviors of Granfendo haven't returned to their dorms either!
Once all the puzzle pieces were complete, early in the morning, Farne and Gemma, along with several Slytherin representatives, came to the Medical Wing to visit the two.
Since it was the weekend, Hermione and Ron didn't leave the hospital immediately, but instead chose to stay with Harry in the medical wing.
So the trio watched as a large group of Slytherin snakes entered the hospital wing with utmost politeness and elegance, and began a series of words of comfort to Thea and Draco.
Thea and Draco exchanged a glance, both seeing the weariness in each other's eyes, but they quickly resumed their so-called aristocratic manners.
The visit to offer condolences has begun:
First, the two prefects expressed their concerns about Thea and Draco.
Thea and Draco responded politely and expressed their gratitude.
Then the two prefects stepped back, and other pure-blood noble heirs expressed their concern and inquired indirectly about the two men's health.
Thea and Draco reiterated their remorse and responded to each other in the same roundabout way.
The final step was for everyone who came to visit to bring out the gifts they had prepared, and once again extend their wishes to Thea and Draco for a speedy recovery.
Only after they had done all this did the Slytherin members gracefully depart.
He never glanced at the trio from beginning to end.
The trio were also unaware of this; they were still immersed in the shock of what had just happened and had not yet come to their senses.
"Thea, are all Slytherins this...polite?" Harry asked, somewhat puzzled.
After dealing with the Slytherins, Thea felt a little better and patiently explained to Harry's question:
"...Well...that statement isn't entirely accurate. You should know that I come from the Black family, while Draco comes from the Malfoy family."
To put it bluntly, these two families still hold a very high status.
"And Draco and I are heirs to both families, so if something happens to either of us, the impact will be much wider..."
Thea hesitated for a moment, but Draco picked up the conversation, saying, "Actually, what Thea just said was a bit vague. To summarize:..."
Those people who just came to visit Thea and me, they may not all be our close friends, but they definitely have some kind of business relationship with the Malfoy and Black families!
In fact, since Thea has always played the role of mediator, and they are both first-year students now, the conflicts are still just at the stage of not liking each other.
After what happened last night, Draco was still somewhat resentful that Harry had taken advantage of Thea.
However, the previous conflicts have lessened considerably, which has also made the relationship between the two much more relaxed.
After hearing Draco and Thea's explanation, Harry was still somewhat confused, but he roughly realized what was going on.
Hermione and Ron understood. Hermione understood because of her intelligence, while Ron understood because of the influence of their families. Even though the Weasley family was known as "pure-blood traitors," it was still a noble family.
Thea glanced casually into the inner room of the medical wing and saw Madam Pomfrey inside, but she hadn't said anything to stop the Slytherin's noise.
It seems that Dumbledore had informed her in advance.
Thea never underestimated any character in Harry Potter, especially the old wizard known by countless people as the "White Wizard".
When the two sides are extremely unequal in strength, and when her life depends entirely on the mercy of another person, Thea has no choice but to survive.
Thea looked at Harry again, and seeing his still bewildered expression, she couldn't help but sigh.
Dumbledore, is this the savior you've been grooming?
Even with the help of the plot, Thea still finds it difficult to explain how this empty-headed savior managed to defeat Voldemort.
